Lohjanjärvi is the largest lake in southern Finland and it is a famous pike perch lake. Lake has a diverse fish stock and in summer time there are several fishing competitions in Lohja. You can find a rowing boat on our cottages, so an eager fisherman can get to the lake right away after arriving. The most skilled rowers have been on a day trip to Päiväkumpu spa hotel, which is 5km by water. (POIS: and 26km by road).

Fishing is a passion for many people who is visiting in Suurniemi. If a rowing boat is not enough, you can bring your own electric off-motor or a small motor boat. There are several ramps in Lohja for boat launch, and during high water the boat can also be lowered from Suurniemi. Do contact beforehand - this is always agreed on a case-by-case basis!
